We accept the Holy Scriptures as our only authority in matters of faith and practice, and our understanding of Bible doctrine leads us to believe:
- We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament are verbally inspired by God, inerrant and infallible in the original writings, and are the supreme and final authority. References: 2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Psalm 119:89; Matthew 24:35
- The Trinity We believe in one God, eternally existing in one essence, yet in three co-equal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. References: Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Deuteronomy 6:4; John 1:1
- The Person of Christ We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, begotten by the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. References: Matthew 1:18–23; Luke 1:35; John 1:14; Galatians 4:4
- We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and who indwells and empowers believers. References: John 16:8–11; John 14:16–17; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:9
- The Fall of Man We believe that mankind was created in the image of God, but sinned, resulting in both physical and spiritual death, and that all humans are born with a sinful nature. References: Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12; Ephesians 2:1–3
- Salvation through Christ We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins as a substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified by His shed blood. References: 1 Corinthians 15:3; Isaiah 53:5–6; Romans 5:8–9; Ephesians 1:7
- Resurrection and Ascension We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, His ascension into heaven, and His present ministry as High Priest and Advocate. References: Luke 24:39; Acts 1:9–11; Hebrews 4:14–16; 1 John 2:1
- The Second Coming We believe in the blessed hope—the personal, visible, and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ. References: Titus 2:13; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Acts 1:11; Revelation 22:12
- Regeneration We believe that all who receive Jesus Christ by faith are born again by the Holy Spirit and become children of God and heirs of eternal life. References: John 1:12–13; John 3:3–7; Titus 3:5; Romans 8:16–17
- Eternal Destiny We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost: the saved to eternal life, and the lost to everlasting conscious punishment. References: John 5:28–29; Daniel 12:2; Matthew 25:46; Revelation 20:12–15
- Satan We believe in the existence of a personal devil, who seeks to destroy souls, and who will ultimately be judged along with all who reject Christ. References: 1 Peter 5:8; John 8:44; Revelation 20:10; Matthew 25:41
- The Church We believe in the Church, whose mission is to preach the Gospel to all the world, guided by godly leadership and faithful stewardship. References: Matthew 28:19–20; Acts 2:42; Ephesians 4:11–13; 1 Peter 5:2–3
- Ordinances We believe that the ordinances of the Church, given by the Lord, are Baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Communion). References: Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26
